On your Cottage pie recipe it says it serves 4, how big of a serving is that? I’d love to make this for a small gathering (I’ll tell them it’s your recipe) but I need to scale it up.

Hi there! Serves 4-6. 4 generous helpings, 6 smaller. It fills a large skillet and the potatoes are filling. Can serve along with a hearty salad to help scale it. Might consider making two skillets to err on the side of caution for a group, with leftovers.

I have made the Brasato al Barolo. Could I put my dutch oven in an oven set at say 250 degrees to cook the dish is it preferable to keep on top of the stove?
BTW we love the dish and its simplicity also allows me to experiment with other ingredients such as a little beef broth and one or two garlic cloves.
